Workstation technology is desktop computer Power, this month we are testing a computer to showcase some of the latest high-performance components. Not only scan 3XS GWP TR ADA for our first time AMDThe latest Ryzen Threadripper, back after vacation, but also NvidiaADA generates graphics, which has the effect of PCI-E 5 NVME Storage The same is true.
First, the processor. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7980X is the top of the recovery range, offering 64 cores that run on a 3.2GHz base, but with a 5.1GHz increase. Scan the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix RGB with the most liquid cooling processor. The 360mm version is already installed on the front of the chassis, and three 120mm fans provide a lot of heat dissipation.
With Ryzen Threadripper support for quad-channel memory, scans naturally fill all four DIMM sockets for the Asus Pro WS TRX50 SAGE WIFI motherboard. These are 32GB 4,800MHz Samsung ECC registered DDR5 module, totaling 128GB. If you want more memory to the 1TB maximum of the motherboard, you need to replace all of this, but for this system’s lifetime, 128GB should be enough.
No spending
Another top component is Nvidia RTX 6000 ADA graphics, using NVIDIA’s ADA Lovelace Architecture, a 4NM design that takes professional GPU performance to the next level and is used in the incredible GEFORCE RTX 4090 consumer graphics cards. The RTX 6000 ADA packages 18,176 Cuda cores, which is a massive upgrade to the 10,752 cores of the IT-replaced A6000. Both cards have 48GB of GDDR6 memory, but the ADA has faster memory (2,500MHz vs. 2,000MHz), so the bandwidth increases from 768GB/SEC to 960GB/sec. this GPU The Boost time clock is also up to 2,505MHz, while the 1,800MHz is a very fast 3D graphics accelerator.
There is no cost to scan in terms of storage either. The boot drive is a single 2TB CORSAIR MP700 NVME M.2 device. This takes advantage of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series support for PCI-E 5. Running Crystaldiskmark 8 provides 11,492MB/sec readings and 11,773MB/sec/sec writing, which is the phenomenon level of throughput. As if that wasn’t enough, there was also an 8TB array consisting of four other identical drives in the RAID0 configuration, mounted in a Hyper M.2 X16 expansion card located in an X16 PCI-E 5 slot on the motherboard. The array caused an exciting 34,186MB/sec reading and 42,176MB/sec writing. This is not a wrong printing – you will get throughput of 30 to 40GB/sec. This will do edit even 8k For example, videos are relatively painless.
Style touch
This effective component has been housed in a huge fractal northern chassis. The slats on the front make it look more like a stylish standalone radiator than a PC, and are full of features. There are two mounts for 2.5-inch drives, and the other two for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch units. All storage scanned is NVME-based. this power supply It is a 1,000W Pirate rm1000x 80 gold unit, despite its powerful core components, and should also be within its comfort zone. Even under full load, this is not a noisy computer.
Asus motherboards offer both 10GBE and 2.5GBE LAN on the back panel, as well as built-in Wi-Fi 7 2×2 radio can reach up to 2.8gbit/sec. There are three PCI-E 5 slots, but two X16s are captured by graphics and RAID storage array adapters, while the third runs in X8 mode. There is also an X16 PCI-E 4 slot, and its second slot runs in X4 mode. The board contains three M.2 storage slots, two of which run at PCI-E 5 X4 speed (one shot by a boot drive), plus the third in PCI-E 4 X4 performance. The motherboard also provides hardware and software support for the Asus IPMI remote management expansion card. However, there are only two 20Gbits/sec USB-C ports – one on the backplane and one on the top of the front chassis. The rest are smaller-speed A-type ports.
Explode with speed
We expect the best performance of the new Threadripper, but we are not ready for the speed of this system. Total points PC Pro The 954 benchmark is ahead of anything we’ve tested before. Most of this is provided by an incredible 1,224 in multitasking testing, which is no surprise. But the 892 video results are also great. Previously, only 267 image editing scores have been beaten. This is a mostly single-threaded test and the CPU has faster boosted core frequency.
But if you want to really prove how incredible the system is, then just 107,189 Maxon Cinebench R23 multi-threaded results are needed. From a perspective, the fastest 64-core Threadripper Pro 5995WX workstation we’ve tested – Armari Magnetar MC64TP – managed only 76,330. Single threaded results of 1,728 also show magnet management 1,492, despite having lower cores and higher frequency CPUs, e.g. Ryzen 7000 Series or recent Intel The core chips do better in this test.
These capabilities are further emphasized, Blender Gooseberry rendering only took 94.6 seconds, using the CPU, and for the first time we saw the processor complete this framework processing task in less than two minutes. On the GPU (using CUDA), it took 69.2 seconds, which was much less than any other professional card we’ve tested. The Luxmark 3.1 score is 26,426, which is also high, showing the GPU compute power provided by the NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA.
Tour de France
The power of this GPU is translated into incredible 3D Modeling Function. The outstanding result of Specviewperf 2020 is a stunning 1,235 for the SNX-04 viewport, almost twice the fastest score we’ve ever seen before. The 208 results for CATIA-06 are also impressive, and 604 in SolidWorks-07 also show that CAD and product design capabilities are unparalleled, despite the CREO-03 score of 76, which is surprisingly moderate. For 3D animation, their own stories are told in 3DSMAX-07 for 295 and in Maya-06.
Scan 3XS GWP TR ADA is the tour. Its 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper blows everything out of the water through multi-threaded tasks and doesn’t slack on single-line lines either. NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA Graphics It also dominates viewport acceleration or GPU rendering, and storage throughput is unparalleled. Of course, this workstation is expensive, but you will definitely get the money you need: the best workstation performance on the market.
For several years, it seems that the regular AMD Ryzen Threadripper is history. After the Pro version arrives, there is no non-Pro 5000 series. But now, Vanilla Threadripper is back in the 7000 generations. It is based on the same Zen 4 core as the Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 series CPUs, which is built using TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process, but is between the two features and the price.
The Ryzen 7000 series has the highest position of 16 cores, and the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series offers iterations of 24, 32 and 64 cores. Professionals range from 12 to 96 cores. Further differences include memory configuration. All three 7000 series ranges support DDR5 memory up to 5,200MHz, but the base Ryzen has dual channels ControllerThreadripper’s controller is four-channel, while Pro’s controller is eight-channel.
PCI Express 5 is now available in all three ranges, but the number of lanes available is another difference. The basic Ryzen has 28 PCI-E 5 lanes, but Theheadripper has 48 lanes, plus 24 PCI-E 4 lanes, and the Pro has 128 PCI-E 5 lanes. More lanes will mean faster storage devices like NVME M.2 drives can be connected, faster network devices can be used, and more graphics cards can be installed.
Since we last had non-Pro Threadrippers, AMD’s Zen Core Technology has grown rapidly. Both the first 3000 series and the new 7000 series have the highest 64 cores, but the 3000 version (3990X) has a base clock of 2.9GHz and a boost power of 4.3GHz, while the 7980X in the scan system this month has a base clock of 3.2GHz, 3.2GHz and a boost rate of 5.1GHz. This will provide better performance by enabling less, faster core software and Use applications that can use as many kernels as possible. With AMD’s Precision Boost 2, you’ll get as many cores as cooling and motherboard power delivery, but can run at the maximum frequency, although some will be marked as the most capable after the manufacturer tests. Adding this to it, the 32-core AMD Threadripper 2990WX has a base clock of just 3GHz and a boost of 4.2GHz, so the 7980X is a huge leap.
So, this ZEN 4-based Threadripper represents another important update from AMD. Intel Always challenged the Ryzen 7000 series, its 13th-generation Raptor Lake chip, but its sapphire Rapids Xeon Workstation processor has just arrived recently and is emerging with 56 cores and an enhanced frequency of 4.8GHz. Threadripper cuts it when Threadripper Pro now has up to 96 cores.
With the return of non-Pro Ryzen Threadripper, if you want to have more than 16 cores in your workstation for optimal multithreading performance, then again, a cheaper route is offered.
