The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Staff Concludes Visit to Kenya | Global News Avenue

A team of staff from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Ms. Haimanot Teferra, visited Nairobi from 6 to 14 March 2025.

At the end of the visit, Ms. Teferra made the following statement:

“The mission teams are related to the Kenyan authorities’ recent developments and macroeconomic prospects. The staff of the Kenyan authorities and the IMF have learned that the ninth review under the current expansion fund facilities and the expansion line of credit scheme will not be conducted. The IMF has received a new plan from the Kenyan authorities and their progress.

“The staff team would like to thank the Kenyan authorities for their engagement and hospitality in this mission. The team met with his President Ruto, Cabinet Secretary Mbadi Ngo, Kenya Governor Thugge and his team and his team as well as representatives from various government agencies and other key interests.”
