England: Morgan Gibbs-White praises ‘incredible’ Thomas Tuchel as Nottingham Forest midfielder is called up
Tuesday since Nottingham Forest happened to be marked for 12 months Four points were deducted Violation of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
That threw them into the relegation zone, but they ended up hitting 6 points with 17, one and bottom three.
Now, they are only four points behind second-place Arsenal and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
“It was an amazing year when you say that,” Gibbs-White said. “It was incredible just to see what we’ve come from this time last year.
“I think Forest fans deserve the most. Going back to the Premier League is one thing.
“In two years we’ve been relegated in the Premier League, which is obviously not good. It’s not pleasant, but now we’ve cheered up the fans.”
Gibbs-White has been Captain of the Forest for most of the season, winning five league goals and seven assists and feeling he is in “the best form I have ever been.”
“Come here with England (with England), at that moment the football level, I felt like I was in a very good place,” he said.
“(I) are really proud. I do feel chicken skin umpup every week when I walk out on the city ground.”
The idea of improving forest flight is hard to believe 12 months ago.
Gibbs-White said: “I’ll steal your hand. I thought you were talking about trash.”
“It’s interesting that in the preseason, we believe we can do something this season. Did we think of this level? Probably not, but we feel like we can achieve something good this season.
“In the preseason under the manager (Nuno Espirito Santo), because he really implemented his ideas, his people management and his belief in the players, he really had to know everyone alone, and I think that’s a huge help to us.
“We work hard day after day to achieve this kind of goal, and you know everyone is in a good place for a minute.
“The morale is high and the atmosphere is high.”
