Man Utd season ticket price increase: Fans ‘disappointed’ at 5% rise

As the club’s goal is to be financially sustainable, Manchester United’s ticket prices will rise by about 5% for the third consecutive year.

The Manchester United Supporters Trust said the increase was “less than many people feared” and the prices under 16 were frozen.

But it must be said that Manchester United fans “expressed disappointment” and the club “ignore” the call for a price freeze.

Sir Jim Ratcliff and his Ineos group have tried to improve the club’s finances since becoming the club’s co-owner last year, but several changes are unpopular, Causing fans protest, Especially in the home game against Arsenal last week.

Some of the latest changes to the 2025-26 season include the introduction of game classification models for non-season ticket holders, where advanced games are more costly.

Manchester United also increased the minimum usage requirement for season ticket holders from 15 of its 19 Premier League home games to 16.

Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada said the club “works to come up with a fair and reasonable pricing package” and is making new changes to offset the rise in operating costs”.

However, it must be said that “we can’t see any reason for the increase” and the new classification model is “the main source of concern.”

It must be said: “For months, we have argued that the club needs to look at the big picture and freeze ticket prices for next season.

“Other clubs have done this and at Manchester United it will convey a strong message that everyone needs to unite to get the club out of the very difficult position they find.”

“We know that any price increase is unpopular, especially during periods of poor performance on the court, and we listened carefully to the strong arguments made by Fab (Fan Advisory Board) to freeze.

“However, the club has already believed that it is incorrect to keep the price unchanged when costs rise and the club continues to face financial problems.

“We keep the increased levels to a minimum and protect our youngest season ticket holders from any rise while ensuring that the club remains financially strong enough to invest in improving the team.”
