Core wrestling feels like a great mix of arcade and simulation styles, as well as counter, combo and free-form carry-on moves that give every wrestler a deep action. This year’s entry brings back the last appearance of a chain wrestling technician WWE 2K20;This allows the game to start in a more realistic way. The wrestler will lock in the grip and manipulate the match around the opponent with a mini game to gain an advantage at the start of the match. It is only available at the start of the round and gives early matches more similar to what you see on TV than to go all out right away.
It’s also the best game to look so far, as the game progresses, wrestlers are now covered by wrestling and bruises and are separated by people wearing body paint during the game. Meanwhile, the TV style demonstration is top notch, with the camera cut similar to a real WWE TV.
The new member of this year is wrestling, allowing men and women to compete with each other. This is largely in the storyline of My Rise this year, but beyond that, I think it may be more. For example, title matches are available in mode, but are only used for the specified “in gender” title, which mostly consists of 2K’s makeup titles and a handful of official WWE titles, such as 24/7, CruiserGeright and HartCore titles, but do not have the ability to get Cherelsea Green Win Win We Wine Championships, which feels less than halfway.
Rules of lineage
This year’s 2K display focuses on “bloodlines” – WWE Canon The names of the Anoa’i/Maivia family of professional wrestlers include the names of Rock, Roman Empire, Hengzona and Umaga. If the previous version followed a single wrestler, you would play the role of most family members this time.
Paul Heyman presents and narrates this year, already the greatest speaker in WWE history, and his failures with the event are great to get you involved in the entire long venue.
Since not all members of the lineage are equal, 2K25 Matching is divided into three categories. The usual big win (for example, Yokozuna defeated at King King of Ring of the King of the Hulk Hogan in 1993). But for those members who don’t have any big wins or outstanding competitions, like Tamina, there are some rewrites and dream matches that win the first woman’s money in the bank, or let the wild Samoan win Dudley Boyz.
In gameplay, the last few years of 2K showcase real-life game videos, causing players to sit and watch the game without comments instead of playing the game for a long time. This year, 2K mercifully abandoned this and recreated the game cutscene in the engine and added new comments from the game announcement team. This style has made this year’s presentation less and turned it into a great mode.
The only real problem with this year’s model is the goal. When re-creating the game, the game expects you to rework certain beats from the real game, and new items will be unlocked after they are done correctly (you can play normally, but you will miss these Unlocks). This year’s game introduces timing goals, which usually requires you to make certain moves or losses. However, if you don’t get it in time, it will be skipped and if you want another crack, you will need to fully replay the game.
Some of these timers are short, and in multiplayer competitions like money in the bank, another wrestler grabs you a wrestler, enough to guarantee you failure. On the other hand, the dream match goal is very bland, mainly “X damage loss” and then “win now.”
Bounty
The Rise of the Year – the original story you created after the wrestler – is a mixed bag. This is the best storyline found in any of these modes. It’s a faction where former NXT wrestlers try to take over WWE with their new NXT Mutiny brand, as well as your character leads their fight against them. It’s full of huge twists and turns that keeps me working on it all the time. But this time you have to be a male and female character to tell the story.
The best bit
The lineage display features are the highlight of many members of the family. But the part dedicated to Umaga is not only the best game in this year’s mode, but it is a truly lovely tribute to the incredible talent.
The biggest deal this year is the choice. There are things that affect certain story beats, such as where your wrestlers come from (India, MMA) and the relationships they have with other wrestlers you have (used to be dates, best friends), introducing different conversations. There are even bigger options like which wrestlers do you recruit to fight the rebellion. This also means that there is a greater focus on repeatability, which will be a bit of a barrier when it comes to unlocking items. As far as I know, you may need to play the mode three or four times to get all the extra characters and arenas.
This year is not a story either. There are no more side tasks and the runtime feels shorter than in previous years. There are some “live events” that allow you to engage in universal combat that are also related to your star rating. Assuming you get a five-star match every time (it takes a while), there are still 56 fights to unlock everything. I couldn’t help feeling things were cut in support of another mode.
The money is coming
The island is a brand new mode for the current version of the game (although not a PC), though it is the biggest thing WWE 2K25this is easily the worst thing to do. The mode plays like a bad MMO where you can talk to the NPC, play games and compete with others.
But the task structure is so bland. One of the early Questlines lets you talk to two different sets of NPCs multiple times. Also, the story is told through static images with text, with occasional videos of Roman rule. It would be a harmless, bland pattern, but then its character progress shows its true colors.
You can create a new character for the island and the stats for that character are upgraded through VC – the game’s premium paid currency. Not only that, your character also has exclusive cosmetics, and it also costs VC. You can earn VC when playing, but it’s a picky bitch compared to the price of the gear, causing you to either grind or pull out your credit card in a crazy way.
Every online match (mostly it takes a long time to find and disconnect immediately) in mode I compete with the sweatiest wrestlers of the sweatiest with the biggest stats, so the mode is basically paid to win too, although thankfully, I don’t care about my care isn’t fun enough. I play these games for over 80 hours a year, but after commenting I can’t see myself touching this mode.
Speaking of money, my faction – 2K’s view on the Ultimate Team – returns the same question as before. Exclusive characters are locked behind the “character” card, either taken from the card pack or a large amount of grinding that needs to be dropped randomly. The new “World Journey” in my faction is the best thing to add to the mode in years (you can unlock some of these “character” cards), but it also has walls that require you to need a specific card type to proceed.
My GM is another problem similar to before. I love GM mode with all my heart, but the weird punishment in the 2K version is offensive. The characters all have characters and styles; some get along well with others, and if you don’t have the right pairing, the game will be worse.
But this does not symbolize the appearance of WWE in real life. CM Punk and Seth Rollins are now in the midst of bloody hatred on TV. They are both good people. This model has the potential to be the best thing WWE 2Kbut the same old restrictions again overwhelm any improvement.
WWE 2K25 is the best wrestling game in modern times. The showcase and my Rise mode are the best they have encountered on some small issues, and the core wrestling feels great because the increasing number of match types make it fresh. But the island craving for money and my faction mode (even cannot be ignored due to its unlockable content) put it back from the legal position at the head of the table.
Should you play WWE 2K25?

Accessibility
There is nothing to write about when it comes to accessibility. Various mini games for pins and submissions are customizable. There are quick buttons to press the submit button, which can be switched to the slider mini game, while the pin is a timed mini game that can be switched to a quick button. You can also select the Quick Button to replace the Quick Button. However, these changes are not available in any online mode (including CPUs in my faction).
How do I comment on WWE 2K25
I played for 30 hours WWE 2K25 Between a PS5 exist Samsung Q60D TV and Samsung HW-T450 speaker. I’ve played, too PS5 On Samsung Odyssey G5 Gaming Monitor PlayStation Pulse 3D Headphones.
During this time, I played all the display modes (including both sides of the war game), one gameplay of my Rise, my GM year, a few months in the universe, and about five hours in the faction. I also participated in the first few chapters of the island and played a few PVP games in that mode.
