Stephen Curry: Golden State Warriors star becomes first player to reach 4,000 three-pointers
Curry became the all-time leading scorer for three-pointers when he surpassed Ray Allen’s 2,973 record in Madison Square Garden in 2021.
Shortly after the rim landed, on the big screen, he celebrated his achievements in the victory over the Kings 130-104.
“This is a clear milestone threshold,” Curry told ESPN.
“A number I didn’t consider, even 2,974, it was realistic, and that was the most important thing because that was the record at the time.
“Pushing the record so far is beyond my craziest dream.”
The Warriors won the sixth straight win, sixth in the Western Conference after the Ninth Kings won the sixth straight victory.
Curry ended the game, which took place the day before his 37th birthday, with 11 points and 5 assists.
The four-time NBA champions have several three-pointers, including two consecutive wins in most regular seasons, with at least three-pointers (268 and 157).
Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden is second, ranking 3120 points on the roster of most three-pointers.
