Six Nations 2025: Ben Earl says England need to ‘win well’ against Wales
No. 8 Ben Earl said England’s main motivation was to “win” against Wales rather than considering their Six Nations championship chances.
If Steve Borthwick’s side will win the championship with Cardiff’s bonus hit to Wales, while France fails to beat Scotland at the French Stadium.
England finished second at the table after a defeat in Ireland, and he played in front of Les Bleus, meaning they didn’t know they had done enough in the final whistle.
The 27-year-old told BBC’s Rugby League Weekly Podcast.
“The backgrounds of six countries and what could happen is very low, and we are talking about growing into a team and finding identity.
“We want to win. We want to go to the show and we know how difficult it will be.
“Welsh under the roof of the Principality is a completely different entity than anywhere else in the world.
“We want to win and look at where we are at the end of the game.”
