Silent Hill: F Gets Detailed by Konami, New Trailer Revealed
Konami reveals more details about the next Mainline Silent Hill game in Thursday’s latest gearbox YouTube stream. Silent Hill: F turns this titular town to the new Japanese environment of the 1960s, with the overall theme being “finding the beauty of horror.” The last mainline entrance in the series is a downpour, released in 2013.
The news comes after the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake last year, a significant success for the series’ standard, with more than one million sold in the first three days after its release. The series announced a range of future games, and although we don’t have a release date yet, Silent Hill:F looks like the first person we can see.
We first saw the trailer for Silent Hill:F in 2022, where Konami shares more details about the upcoming title in the transport stream.

Set in Japan in the 1960s, Silent Hill: F interrupted from a small resort town in Maine, but other elements fans should expect from the series are here. Here is the official description:
“When the secluded Ebisugaoka in hinako shimizu was suddenly fogged, the house she once familiar with turned into a haunting nightmare,” Konami said. “As the town silences and the fog thickens, he has to drive the twisted path of Ebisugaoka, solve complex puzzles, and meet weird monsters to survive.”
The title has a significant palette with brighter visuals and contrast, leaning towards the beauty atmosphere it pursues. This is also the first time since the “Silent Hill 3” series will have female protagonists.
Although the series was previously centered on American towns, Konami’s decision to move the title to Japan seemed to be part of a return to its roots. The developer said, “Each new release of Japanese (Silent Hill) Japanese soul becomes weaker.”
Also, if successful, it seems like it’s time to make new changes to the series. While my Silent Mountain fans don’t mind whether Konami is just going to reshape all the core four games, I also want to see it progress and evolve into a series. If the silent mountain continues to expand to different locations, and (in turn, culture and protagonists) the underlying story of the Silent Hill may tell endlessly.
Although there is no release date, you can now be willing to go to the mountain silently: F steam and PlayStation Store. It can also be used when the Xbox series is released.
