After the Power Book III: Season 3 finale, Raquel Thomas, Kanan and family’s Raquel Thomas are back, bringing some big character deaths and fan favorite uniqueness – played by Joey Bada $$ – also resurrected from the dead. What now?

Showrunner Sascha Penn and stars Mekai Curtis, Patina Miller, Malcolm Mays, London Brown and Joey Bada $$ have talked with CNET about Season 4 and have come up with tips for the future. The latest section also brings back Tony Danza’s return as Stefano Marchetti, Wendell Pierce and Erika Woods are snapshots and pop music while newcomer Chris Redd is an early newcomer and Pardison Fontaine is B-Rilla.

Raq, Marvin, Lou and Kanan are not aware that the unique ones are still alive, so entering season 4, and for Thomas Family it’s always been. Kanan and his mother aren’t the most important, but essentially the show is at the heart of his journey and its impact on the environment and all of them. This time the effect will become more obvious.

“I think what we started to see in Season 4 is different, and I do think Kanan really starts taking steps to be the one we see him in power,” Payne said. “You can’t go through everything this guy goes through without getting harder, harder, more cynical, frankly, more violent.”

Curtis added: “As Kanan discovers more about himself, Kanan discovers more about the world around him, he finds himself more like his mother than ever before, and he is trying to fight it.”

Lark has his own battle this time, and Miller shared that we will see a new side of her this season, which may surprise us. “She will have some big moments and she can’t just Raq get out of it,” she explained.

To see her having to be a person who is used to control, losing some control, what it feels like, and how uncomfortable it is – I think it’s exciting for the audience to see Raquel’s new side. Because you grew up with her.

Marvin and Jukebox’s relationship was tested, but Brown said his character realized his daughter was “more like him” this season. Fans will see him “starting to stride forward in hopes of stopping her from entering a path he didn’t really sign up.” Additionally, Lark’s big brother will dabble in some adventures that would benefit him.

As for Raq’s youngest sibling and another uncle of Kanan – he still wants to work in music, opening the way for a possible partnership with B-Rilla, played by Pardison Fontaine (also known as Pardi). Mays said the rapper had some interesting scenes, and the series’ interest in Lou also improved his story compared to other characters. “I think my world is the most fly,” he said.

I asked Pennsylvania if he wanted to put the rumor of this season on the bed, and he joked but politely refused.
