Man jailed for stalking Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Tweedy in Buckinghamshire
A man admitted to 16 weeks in prison for singer Cheryl Tweedy, who stalked girls loudly at her home.
Daniel Bannister, 50, has no fixed address and is targeting a pop star who uses the stage name Cheryl at his home in Chalfonts, Buckinghamshire.
The defendant was already the subject of a restrictive order related to the singer, and he admitted to violating it and attempting to violate it At an earlier hearing.
Tweedy saw him on security cameras on her property in December 2024 and was “feared”.
Magistrate Arvind Sharma imposed a new unlimited order on Bannister.
The defendant was remanded in custody before his sentence.
Tweedy, who is not in court, said in a statement that after he rang a doorbell, she was able to watch Bennister’s footage on her phone.
She added that she was “immediately panicked” and “worrying about my safety.”
