Six Nations: Wales set to give centre Joe Roberts wing role against England
Wales is considering ace naming center Joe Roberts in Saturday’s Six Nations finale against England.
A small start change is expected when the interim head coach named it in Thursday’s game against Aaron Wainwright and starts in the back row with Jac Morgan and Taulupe Faletau.
Roberts, 24, didn’t start a professional game on the wings, but was impressed in a 35-29 loss to Murrayfield, Scotland, in the 10th minute of Tom Rogers.
Rogers was ruled out in England after a broken thumb while Josh Adams remained missing after being injured in training and has not appeared since the opening of two Six Nations matches.
Liam Williams, the defender, was left out of the game after suffering a knee injury in the opener against France.
Sherratt chose this week Gloucester Wing Josh Hathaway will not call any reinforcements this week, the only expert option left, but Roberts is scheduled to hold the position on Saturday.
Cardiff defenders Cameron Winnett and Rio Dyer were ignored in the sport.
