Customers Are Coming to Casey’s for Prepared Foods, Then Filling Up Their Tanks

Casey’s General Stores (Cassi) With the help of customers, their fuel sales have grown surprisingly, and they come to convenience store operators (such as pizza and sandwiches) to prepare food.
Casey reported the third quarter on Tuesday Earnings per share (EPS) Revenues of $2.33 at $3.9 billion, both comfortably surpassed analyst estimates, which was valued at Alpha.
The Iowa-based chain said that prepared food and dispensed beverage sales rose 4.7% year-on-year in the same period, while same-store fuel gallons rose 1.8% when analysts were looking for a slight decline.
“The food Cassie prepared is a traffic drive in itself,” Melius research analysts said Wednesday. “Customers will go to Casy for convenience for pizza or sandwiches and fill the tanks on their tanks, which partly explains the surprise +1.8% fuel gallon (intermediate unit number) when the quantity in Casy Geographices drops.”
Casey’s shares soared to 6% on Wednesday afternoon to $403. They have grown by more than 36% over the past year.
