36 British swimmers to get funding towards LA 2028 Paralympics
The 15 Paralympic champions are one of 36 British swimmers who will receive UK sports funding for the 2025 season after performing well in Paris.
Aquatics GB develops a World Class Program (WCP) to help athletes get opportunities and targeted financial assistance and access to world-class sports science and sports medicine services.
Britain won 18 gold medals in Paris and saw them ranked second at the swimming medal table.
Maisie Summers – Newton, Stephen Clegg, Alice Tai and Poppy Maskill – the athletes at Paralympic GB have the most renovated athletes in Paris – last summer they claimed multiple titles in the program.
Adam Clarke, Para-Wimming leader at Aquatics GB, said: “We look forward to seeing how these athletes thrive with the support of the outstanding team of staff around them as the new Paralympic Games begins.
“We also have many young competitors who love to play breakthroughs in Paris and hope to grow this season.”
The 2028 Paralympic Games will be held in Los Angeles between August 15 and 27, 2028.
