Jenkins is 22 years old, but has played 22 international competitions and has served as his country in six countries in 2024.
The injury ruled out his Wales after two campaigns, but he returned to the game and gave an impressive defensive performance against Scotland with 28 tackles.
“It’s not always a good thing, but if they’re going to meet you, you won’t not solve them, that’s just part of the game,” Jenkins said.
“You don’t attribute someone’s credit for their job, but I do take pride in my work rate.
“If you’re playing for your country, you’re playing for your family and you’re going to the well without any problems every week.”
Jenkins has ambitious personal long-term goals.
“I’m very happy with my game, but I know there’s still a long way to go if I want to be seen as one of the top locks in the world,” he said.
“That’s what you aspire to be a player, but I know I still have a long way to go right now.”
