Police launch investigation into MP Rupert Lowe
Metropolitan police investigated British MP Rupert Lowe for suspended reforms to charge “verbal threats”.
Reforms report the great Yarmouth MP to police on March 6, allegedly suspected of posing a threat of physical violence to party chairman Zia Yusuf.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department said the unit had launched an investigation that “accused a series of verbal threats posed by a 67-year-old man.”
Writing on social mediaLuo said he “did not know the specific allegations” but denied “any misconduct.”
Law said his attorneys “have contacted the Metropolitan Police and made them realize that I am willing to cooperate in any necessary investigations”.
Lowe added that his attorney “has not received any contact from the police” and said it was very unusual for police to disclose anything to the media at this stage of the investigation.”
Metropolitan police said “Further inquiry is underway.”
The police force also clarified that it initially “referred to the threat posed by December 2024”, but in fact, the so-called threat was “taken between December 2024 and February 2025”.
Law also accused workplace bullying, which MPs claim were politically motivated.
Lowe had previously said the charges and suspensions were due to his retaliation for criticism of reform leader Nigel Farage in a newspaper interview.
