The company compared that data to average sales for the first eight Fridays. Dynamics analysis shows that Amazon’s sales grew by 1%, while the average during the boycott period increased by 1%.

“I would say it’s not necessarily surprising that Amazon sales have the least impact on Amazon sales in a one-day boycott,” lead researcher Andrew Waber told CNET. Waber noted that Amazon’s sales are over $1 billion. “This size makes retailers naturally resilient, especially in terms of short-term disruption.”

Momentum Commerce will track sales data during a week-long boycott to see if the trends in the day-to-day event play out over a longer period of time.

Next: General Mill, Nestlé, Target and Walmart
