Aleksandar Mitrovic: Ex-Fulham forward has abnormal heart rhythm

Former Newcastle United and Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic missed Al-Hilal’s training due to an abnormal heart rhythm.

Local media reported that the 30-year-old was taken to hospital after scoring a 2-0 victory in Al-Fayha on March 7 after scoring a Saudi professional league title.

Mitrovic just returned from a hamstring injury, which caused him to stop acting since January.

“Due to feeling fatigue and arrhythmia, medical staff have decided to take a break from Aleksandar Mitrovic during Sunday’s training,” Al-Hilal said in a statement.,,,,, External

“The experts will observe him because his case will be constantly under surveillance.”

The Serbian striker joined the Premier League from Fulham in August 2023 as saying it was “Club Record Transfer Fee”.

Mitrovic made 205 appearances at Fulham and signed 111 goals from Newcastle in 2018.

In the 2021-22 season, he broke the championship scoring record in 43 of 44 games. He scored 38 goals in 129 Premier League matches between Fulham and Newcastle.

Al-Hilal from Uzbekistan faces Pakhtakorin from Uzbekistan in the second leg of the Afghan Champions League elite on Tuesday.

Saudi club did not disclose whether Mitrovic, who scored 13 goals in the Saudi professional league this season, will be involved.
