Six Nations: Jarrod Evans grateful for Matt Sherratt’s Wales lifeline
Evans admits he is having a party with Sherratt.
“I have two tenures with him and I’m grateful that he asked me back,” Evans said.
“The initial emotion was strange because I had been away for so long.
“I’m just on the moon and I can help the boys and the team in some way.”
Evans plays rugby with Marcus Smith in Harlequins and will face his club partner next weekend as Wales faces England and they still have a chance to win the Six Nations title.
“We are good partners off the field, so I look forward to seeing him next week,” he said.
“I might talk to him before the game. We’re going to talk regularly anyway, so I’ll leave him a message.”
Despite 16 consecutive defeats, Evans said the team still needs to maintain faith and motivation in Welsh rugby.
Evans added: “There is no reason not to.”
“We’re both on the same score this weekend and last week. We don’t have a million miles away. What’s important is that we’ve always believed and positive.”
