World Grand Prix snooker: Neil Robertson beats Shaun Murphy in decider
Neil Robertson beat Masters champion Shaun Murphy 6-5 from 5 to reach the World Grand Prix final in Hong Kong.
The Australian lefty knocked down in three centuries, including resting 114 in the decision frame to win his semifinals.
Robertson, 43, will play world No. 1 Judd Trump or 2015 world champion Stuart Bingham in Sunday’s Best 19 Framework Final.
Robertson ranked 19th in the world rankings before the World Grand Prix, but his final run has raised his hopes of returning to the top 16, thus earning an automatic seat at the World Championships in April.
The 2010 World Championship is Being defeated in qualifying match Last year, it ended 19 consecutive games at the Crucible Theatre.
Murphy won the world championship in 2005 and he may have to cross that route again to get into the main draw at Sheffield.
Before the cutoff point of the World Championships, there are two ranking events – Player Championship and Tour Championship.
The 42-year-old Brit, who is ranked 12th in the world before the World Grand Prix starts, will defend the huge rankings of both events and win two matches in 2023.
