Unemployment rate in February drops for Black men, but rises for Hispanic women | Global News Avenue

The unemployment rate for black men increased significantly in February, even as tax rates for American workers increased overall.

For white women, the unemployment rate in February hit a 3.4% rate from 3.3%, while white men rose from 3.1% to 3.5% last month. Overall, the unemployment rate in February rose to 3.8% from 3.5% in January.

For Asian workers, the unemployment rate fell to 3.2% in February, down from 3.7% last month.

Rick Rieder, chief investment officer for global fixed income in BlackRock, said the February salary report had a “footnote load.”
