British rivals Johnny Fisher & Dave Allen set for rematch in May
British heavyweight rivals Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen will be in a rematch in London on May 17.
Fisher and Allen fought for the first time in February in Oleksandr Usyk v. Oleksandr Usyk v. Oleksandr Usyk.
Fisher of Essex remains undefeated in 13 battles, claiming Controversial split decision-making victoryalthough his career was discarded for the first time.
Doncaster fighter Allen won 23 of his 32 games and lost seven of his two draws.
The British will be headlined at the Copperbox Arena.
“I’m glad to have another great opportunity,” Allen said.
“Title appears twice in London, which means a lot for a kid from the small village of Doncaster. This time I will bring back the victory.”
Unbeaten lightweight Dalton Smith will also be in action against Mathieu Germain at Canon Medical Arena on April 19 in his hometown of Sheffield.
Smith won all 17 professional games, 13 wins from afar, and stopped Walid Ouizza in January.
Victory could make Smith the number one challenger to Alberto Puello’s WBC lightweight champion.
“I don’t look to the future, but after dealing with Germain, I’ll call a name,” Smith said.
