BBC to show World Cup qualifiers live for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
Rhodri Talfan Davies, BBC National Director, said: “I am very pleased that fans in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will now be able to enjoy live, free events for all the major international football matches.
“Nothing can be more imaginative than live international sports and qualifying for the world’s largest competition. It will be a big journey and I’m glad the BBC will be at every step.”
The competition will be shown in BBC and BBC Iplayer in each country – the critical fixtures are also aired on online TV in the UK.
Live games add existing international live coverage on the Welsh BBC Radio, BBC Ulster, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC Sport App.
