“I just thought I had to change shape, and this is the gambling I was going to do because I thought we could get the results,” the former club captain said.
“It’s easy, when you score a few goals and they’re banned, you start to feel bad for yourself. But they keep sticking to the game plan.
“We have to remember that this is only half the draw because Fenerbahce has one of the best managers ever.
“We can’t think we’re into the last eight. There’s a little problem playing on Ibrox, but we’ll love it tonight and try to fix that.”
