Wolves: Matheus Cunha charged by FA after Bournemouth red card
Wolf shooter Matheus Cunha accused by Football Association after red card in the FA Cup Bournemouth’s penalty shootout failed.
Cunha allegedly “acted in an inappropriate way” after being sent off at the last minute of his overtime time after he was sent off after clashing with Cherry defender Milos Kerkez.
The 25-year-old slammed Kerkez – hitting him and kicking him as the Hungarian defender returned to his feet.
Referee Sam Barrott ended up giving a red card, but the angry Cunha had to be escorted and pushed down the tunnel.
The Brazilian striker got a balanced ball from Wolves at the Vital Stadium and he must respond on Monday.
Saturday’s game ended 1-1 after overtime, with Bournemouth winning the quarterfinals with a 5-4 free throw.
