Cultural creators from three neighboring countries in South Africa are in KFC Streetwise (KFC Streetwise) (https://global.kfc.com/) New Original Feed Original Campaign, Celebrate Inspiration to Feed Creativity.
Windhoek fashion designer Ruberto Scholtz, Harare visual director Rowan Sakarombe and Botswana Metalheads feature in the campaign’s Epic TV ads (https://apo-opa.co/43najwe), playing Khuli Chana, Blxckie and 25k. The soundtrack of the advertisement (https://apo-opa.co/4irtnad) is a new song. The original national anthem, Written and recorded by rappers.
“Just as KFC’s Streetwise brand draws inspiration from the iconic taste of KFC’s original recipes – while adding a new generation of value to the barrels, the film portrays Khuli, Blxckie and 25k inspire each other and inspire each other,” said Grant Macpherson, chief marketing officer of KFC Africa. “Cultural creators are part of an equally powerful narrative.”
Scholtz made Suits Blxckie and 25K outfits in a photo shoot scene in a TV commercial, and he was inspired by his collaboration. “If you see someone who can do a great job, why not work with them?” he said.
Sakarombe appears in the movie shooting Original national anthem Music video on the street with Khuli Chana, Blxckie and 25k. He said he was inspired by “the original experience of life around me” and the vibrant energy, constant movement and various urban cultures.

The event, launched on March 4, 2025 across the Sadi region, also features a packaging collaboration between KFC StreetWise and cultural creator Sindiso Nyoni, a Bulawayo-born illustrator whose career has been inspired by “original” – his high school art teacher, a retired graphic designer.

This is the time when young people are eager to share their unique signatures with the world, McPherson said. “Who can feed their hunger better than the original book before them?” he said.

Khuli Chana said that as one of the legends of South African hip-hop music, he is passionate about inspiring new artists. “The reason I started Maftown Heights in 2009 was to help Mahikeng rappers find their place in Joburg and were not mainstream with sound and language at the time,” he said. “This led to great things, and it still provided a platform for new artists. I love inspirational musicians to find their original voice.”
Blxckie said his career and development were built on collaboration and everyone kept him primitive. “Musicians improve each other,” he said. “They support each other and make each other better in their work.”
Artists such as DJ Mojava, Ghetto Squad and Old School Hip-Hop groups Dead Prez and Outcast introduced 25K to rap and sang through S’Pitori, a mixed language spoken in Pretoria.
“I want to remember this, I want to inspire the kids,” he said. “When I’m not here anymore, I want to feel like what I’m leaving behind will get another kid out of Pretoria.”
Other cultural creators appearing in the original TV commercials include the kind kid Sanel Qwabe, “Nail Pimp” Nailed Ntswembu, the island’s Galls skateboarder and the custom Car Pimper ofentse Mphatsoe.
By the torch
The ad started with Cooley writing Original national anthem And ended with him as OG, welcomed Blxckie and 25k on stage, handing them the microphone.
“This is the story of my life, this is the story of KFC streets,” Cooley said. “Through the microphone, it’s like passing a torch, and that’s how the original feed is raw.”
Director Sam Coleman said the 90-second video depicts an endless cycle of inspiration where each creator is galvanized by the former and inspires those who follow. “It’s an explosive mix of visual candy, entertainment, musical rewards, style and unique brand integration that can instantly hijack your attention and eyeballs,” he said. “Everything about it is fascinating, surprising and fresh.”
McPherson said the sport had an extra twist. “Every time someone plays it Original national anthemthe money earned by KFC will increase hope. It will be used to feed malnourished children throughout South Africa.
“Among children who benefit from hope, the next generation of Cullis, blxckies and 25ks and future cultural creators. So anyone who listens to the national anthem will help them on their way.”
