Netball Super League: New rules introduced before 2025 season begins
As part of the reform competition, the Netball Super League introduced three rule changes in the 2025 season.
Unlike previous seasons, the game will not be allowed to end in a draw, and the game will be rated if the score is at the level after 60 minutes.
Tactical timeouts are also introduced, although there will be a new system to distribute points and provide a point for lost teams who are in the fifth with five points or less of the opponent.
This sport is the sport’s competitive competition within the UK, and reforms begin in 2025 Plan to enable professionals in the department.
In the latest series of rule changes, if the score between teams is at the 60-minute level, there will be 10 extra minutes of time, one minute off for halftime.
If the score is still level at the end of overtime, the game will continue until a team reaches a two-goal lead.
At the same time, each team will be allowed to call each game for a tactical timeout of 90 seconds. These players have to make a phone call on the court and can only make a call after scoring a goal.
The NSL said the tactical timeout “will provide players and coaches with invaluable opportunities to make critical adjustments, providing the ability to change the outcome of the game and keep fans guessing until the last whistle.”
Another new member will see the lost team finishing five or fewer goals within the opponent’s scoring range, a change “is intended to inspire the team to continue fighting in a failed position until the last second of each game”.
In December, it was announced that NSL will follow Australia’s superbasketball league and Introducing two super lenses.
The rule will work throughout the new period of overtime, allowing shooters to score 2 points from a dedicated area on the edge of the bezel in the last five minutes of each game.
Claire Nelson, managing director of NSL, said the latest rule changes were tailored to “create fast-paced, exciting formats.”
She added: “Not allowing the game to be tied when the tactical timeout and super shoot rollout is just a few changes, which will create an experience that cannot be missed as we have attracted new and existing fans throughout the course of the season, which is dangerous and exciting at its core.”
The new NSL season will begin on March 14, with one match a weekly event being performed live on the BBC.
