BRVM Investment Days Roadshow Returns To London – Exploring Portfolio Investment Opportunities In WAEMU The Region

West African regional stock exchange, Bourse Régionaledes Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM), is returning to London for the long-awaited roadshow on the BRVM Investment Day.

BRVM Investment Day, now a familiar and essential event on the international investment agenda, was held on 8 April 2025 on the London Stock Exchange. The roadshow is an ideal opportunity to provide a detailed overview of the West African business and investment landscape as it promotes strategic dialogue between the financial markets and international investors in the region of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).

Invitational tours only, theme ‘Explore portfolio investment opportunities in Waemu area”, showing valuable insight into key sectors of interest in regional investment prospects, including telecommunications, financial services, agriculture and energy. BRVM Investment Day is also designed to enhance regional convergence and highlight economic diversification and growth opportunities in Benin’s country Benin.

As the government is working to revitalize Benin’s economy and attract foreign investment in popular sectors such as tourism and manufacturing, it will be the spotlight for Benin. The country focuses on public-private partnerships, job creation and promotion strategies.

BRVM CEO Dr. Edoh Kossi Amenounve highlighted the significant success of BRVM, explaining why it is time to invest in the region. “BRVM has been improving for the second consecutive year and has consolidated its position as Africa’s fifth largest stock exchange. The positive development of our overall market valuesation strengthened BRVM’s weight in regional economies, as it now accounts for about 15.12% of GDP, compared with 9.17% in 2012. Indeed, BRVM offers more than 8% return in the stock market and 6% return in the bond market, which attracts more and more investors. ”

Following the meeting, on April 9, a senior meeting focused on green finance and Islamic finance will be held.

BRVM Investment Days 2025 is the main activity of institutional investors, investment consultants, corporate consultants and bankers, political and economic authorities, as well as WAEMU and diaspora.

Previously in Paris, New York, Dubai and Johannesburg, the versions revolved around a hundred investors and financiers in each city and had great success.
