Orange Africa and Middle East and Eutelsat Announce a Strategic Partnership to Accelerate the Deployment of Satellite Internet in Africa and the Middle East
Orange Africa and Middle East (OMEA) (OMEA) (www.orange.com) and Eutelsat announced strategic partnerships to bridge the digital divide through satellite connectivity in Africa and the Middle East. It aims to connect isolated areas with broadband access, thereby enhancing the digital inclusion of the region.
As part of this multi-year partnership, Orange will use the Eutelsat Konnect satellite, which provides state-of-the-art broadband technology, to provide reliable and accessible internet access. Initially, the deployment will involve Jordan, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the aim of gradually expanding to all countries in the region.
By combining Orange’s expertise in the field of telecommunications and Eutelsat’s technological innovation in the field of satellites, the partnership will enable the delivery of services tailored to private (B2C) and enterprise (B2B) to ensure safe, reliable, reliable and high-performance connectivity. The complementary nature provided by fixed, mobile and satellite technologies will help connect isolated territories and meet the growing demand for internet access in the region.
The partnership is based on the maximum speed of the maximum speed, up to 100 Mbps, combined with the orange feature, it will be possible:
- Covering white and rural areas,
- Provide services tailor-made to local conditions and individual and corporate needs.
- Provide reliable and secure connections in accordance with national regulations.
