Namibia Bids Farewell to Founding President Sam Nujoma

Sam Nujoma, founding president of Namibia, died in February at the age of 95 when he lived in the hero of Windhoek on March 1, 2025. Thousands of people gathered, including the leaders of Southern Africa, to honor those who led the country to independence from South Africa. Nujoma’s leadership in the struggle for independence and its role in promoting national reconciliation after independence. His legacy remains strong in Namibia and many remember him uniting the country and guiding freedom. He served as the first president of Namibia, serving for three terms.
