President Ramaphosa wishes Muslim community well over Ramadaan
President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed his best wishes to the Muslim community while observing the fasting month of Ramadan.
“It is a time of divine reflection, prayer and performing acts of charity for our Muslim brethren at home and around the world – values that unite us all” President Ramaphosa said.
“South Africa is a unified and diverse country, and it is our greatest strength because we work together to build better South African equality and opportunity for all.” The president said.
For Muslims around 1.9 billion Muslims in the world, the month of RAMADAAN can be observed by taking special prayers from sunrise to sunset and feeding those in need.
“As a country, we praise these sympathy, sympathy and generous acts of the Muslim community for even more urgent needs in today’s troubled world” The president said.
“Even if this is a period of Muslim brotherhood and spiritual growth, we are keenly aware that in Gaza, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the troubled Sahel will cheer this Ramada.” President Ramaphosa said.
The President reaffirmed the unity of oppressed nations across the country and called for an end to intolerance, conflict and war.
“We are delighted to be a country of many cultures and beliefs that coexist in harmony – perhaps this is also the time for the bridge of tolerance and understanding between our diverse communities,” The president said.
