FA Cup quarter-finals draw: Bournemouth v Man City, Preston v Aston Villa
Bournemouth was attracted to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Preston is the only champion team in the FA Cup, home to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
Fulham host Crystal Palace in London Derby.
Brighton will be at home in Nottingham Forest or Ipswich, where they tie their tie on Monday.
In addition to the 2023 winner Manchester City, Ipswich is the recently left-behind FA Cup winner.
Fulham, Palace, Bournemouth and Brighton never won the cup.
“It’s open now. How open is a team’s chances to win games,” former Manchester City and Villa defender Micah Richards said on BBC One.
“All (other) big teams are out. Manchester City are obviously the strongest team to stay there. This is what we want, the team that has the chance.”
The quarterfinals will be held on Saturday, March 29.
