Chinese Ambassador Zhou Ding Delivers Lecture at Zimbabwe National Defense University

On February 27, 2025, the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe gave a speech on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and China’s foreign policy. Vice-Chancellor and Commander of Zndu AVM Michael Tedzani Moyo and senior officers from Zimbabwe and other African countries attended the meeting.
Ambassador Zhou elaborated on the basic components of Xi Jinping’s thoughts, diplomacy and the meaning and significance of BRI. He cites examples of satisfactory achievements made by China and African countries, including Zimbabwe, and he expounds on the bright prospects of implementing the concept of building a community that has a shared future for mankind and a shared future for the “three global initiatives.” After the speech, he also discussed international and regional hot issues with Zndu students.
AVM Moyo and the audience highly praised China’s valuable support for the socio-economic development of Zimbabwe and Africa, as well as its contribution to world peace and security, and expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Zhou for providing his information and insight. They articulate the hope that a high-level Chinese-African community will have more fruitful results in the hope of building a shared future.
Ambassador Zhou also gave a joint interview with Zimbabwean news media in Zndu.
