Plainfield, Illinois, landlord convicted of all charges in hate crime murder of 6-year-old Palestinian boy
Will County jury has been convicted in Plainfield, Illinois Hate crime and murder A 6-year-old Palestinian boy, and the boy’s mother stabbed.
Jurors considered one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of hate crimes, committed two counts of charges in the assault and killed Wadee Alfayoumi and in 2023 his mother, Hanan Shaheen.
On May 2, Czuba will face life when she was sentenced on May 2.

The boy’s mother, Hanan Shaheen, was also stabbed in the 14 October 2023 attack Holding witness stand Tuesday. This is the first time she has spoken publicly about the so-called attack.
Shaheen said she was seeking justice for her son and said Czuba had previously tried to kick them out of her homeland, referring to the attack on Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023.
She recalled an exchange that Kubai told her: “Your people are killing Jews and babies in Israel. Muslims are not welcome in my home.”
During the trial, prosecutors show the jury Image photos of Wadee injuredand called several emergency personnel and medical personnel who treated Wadee, his mother and Czuba after the attack.
One witness recalled Kuba “stained blood on his body and he was sweating heavily.”
“I observed her bleeding heavily from her face,” the witness said in Wadi’s mother.
The witness himself told Vadi himself: “I can’t even count the number of stab wounds.”
The prosecutor also relied on video from the body camera as part of the evidence of the case and called a witness who showed that Kubai was wearing clothes that day.
The juror also heard a 911 call from Wadee’s mother and when she told the dispatcher, she heard a scream from another room: “He is killing my child. He killed me and my child. Please. Please. The landlord is killing me and my child.”
The U.S. Council on Islamic Relations plans to hold a press conference immediately after the verdict.
