NBA: Stephen Curry hits 12 three-pointers for Golden State Warriors in season’s best display against Orlando Magic
Stephen Curry hit 12 3-pointers for the third time in a game as Golden State defeated the Orlando Magic 121-115.
The 36-year-old won five straight games, scoring a season-high 56 points.
Curry was full of inspiration and surpassed the Magic with a score of 22 points in the third quarter.
The choice of the two most valuable player’s three-pointer was at the end of the second quarter when he hit a buzzer from half of his own.
Curry’s run came from just 25, the second-placed 55-point game in NBA history, second only to the 24 goals James Harden needed in 2019.
“I think the fans tonight, even Magic fans, know they’re witnessing the greatest shooter of all time, and one of the best shooters of all time,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
“It’s not just shooting, it’s just the fluidity of his movements and movements, the beauty and the footage he’s willing to shoot.
“He was an incredible show and he had a show tonight.”
Curry’s career-high single-game score was in the 2021 Portland Trail Trail Trail Trail Trail Trail when he scored 62 points.
He has made 12 or more three-pointers in three games in his career, and in 2016 he has 13 games against the New Orleans Pelicans.
