Five talking points as WSL returns after international break

Chelsea scored seven points at the top, but it was still nervous between the teams competing for a spot in Europe.

The top three qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United ranked second with 33 points, Arsenal had 30 points and Manchester City had 28 points.

Arsenal owner Renee Slegs has not given up trying to promote Chelsea to the championship.

“We need to believe this, and I do,” she said.

“We have a very exciting obstacle, full of opportunities ahead of us, and we will try to seize these opportunities, which we control.”

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner also remained optimistic that his team could continue to do “great things.”

“The reality is that we’ve been scrutinized for many years and will probably do it forever. We’ve learned to keep working,” Skinner said.

“There will be good times, there will be bad times. If you treat them both the same, you will be in a balanced position. If we keep it balanced, we will be a very good team to do grand things.”
