The loss dropped the curtains during Wigan’s 19-year career, during which time he reached eight finals, won 10 major trophys, won the England captain and played 11 times for the UK.

The following year began a path to coaching, which eventually led to Olaflin joining Peet’s behind the scenes staff 12 months before Leuuai.
“I have to find some feet, but once you have a certain ownership of something, it’s a tough role,” Olovlin told the BBC Sport.
“You learn on your feet, learn as you walk. You make mistakes and then try to get better.”
Leuluai, on the other hand, gets stuck in the coach’s cutting and thrust. Retired at the end of 2022 – an active sport in itself that won the Challenge Cup where Peet served for several months – he intervened as an assistant next season.
“I’m really new, I haven’t coached a lot before, so I’m very new and I’m learning on the run,” Leuluai said.
“It was a very successful for everyone in the club. The first few years were obviously successful, but for me it was just a huge learning experience.”
