Garry Ringrose: Suspended Ireland centre to miss Six Nations game against France

Garry Ringrose will miss the six-country match between Ireland and France after a red card defeat to Cardiff last weekend.

Leinster Center Ringrose is charged with a foul, violating law 9.13, which states that players are not allowed to resolve their opponents early, late or dangerously.

It is worth noting that three games include the Leinster United Rugby Championship against Cardiff this weekend, and if he completes World Rugby coaching intervention program, he will return to Ireland to meet against Italy in the last six countries.

The 30-year-old initially showed a yellow card after contacting Wales’ Ben Thomas during Saturday’s match at the Principal Stadium.

After the field review, it was upgraded to a 20-minute red card, meaning Ireland can later replace Ringrose with Bondi Aki.

Ringrose appeared on an independent disciplinary committee Thursday morning. The committee determined that the mid-range entry point for the six-week/match suspension is suitable for Lingros’ foul play.

The penalty was reduced by 50% after considering his guilty plea and previous disciplinary records.

Ireland also has a third consecutive six-nation champion. He won the country on March 8 and went to Italy in the last two matches on March 15.
