African ministers and officials from education, skills, ICT and digital economy from over 30 countries are holding a senior forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from April 28 to 30: Innovation Africa 2025.

Africa’s innovation in 2025 was chaired by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and under sponsorship, Professor Berhanu Nega, Minister of Education of the Federal Minister.

At the Audi Ababa conference at Aud 2024, ministers confirmed the Africa’s annual declaration of education to build a resilient education system to increase access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and related learning.

Participants in the Innovation Africa Summit will discuss equitable access policies while investing in teacher training, improving problem-solving and collaborative skills, and digitizing learning materials through the use of innovative Edtech. Edtech investment across the continent will grow from US$3 billion (2021) to US$57 billion. Spending has increased by 1,800% since the pandemic. Digital learning materials are key to solving imbalances and ensuring transformation.

TVET is considered a key component of any strong African education system. Many countries in Africa have implemented curriculum reforms to better align their education systems with social needs. Digital education provides a cost-effective way to improve national performance without the need for substantial investment in physical infrastructure.

Africa can play a role in the AI ​​ecosystem thanks to the world’s fastest growing workforce. By 2030, AI will increase Africa’s GDP by 6% and start building competitiveness in the classroom any effective strategy.

AI has the potential to improve the education system, such as freeing up teachers’ time to provide learners with more personalized support. We need to better understand risks and opportunities.
