Travis Kelce: Kansas City Chiefs expect star tight end to return for 2025 season
General Manager Brett Veach said the Kansas City Chief expects Travis Kelce to see the final year of the contract.

The three-time Super Bowl champion has another one year left in contract, and Veach said Kelce decided whether he would return for the 2025 season “without deadline.”
Veach spoke with Kelce before the Chiefs began the offseason and the 35-year-old told him he was “displeased with being here”.
“He has a year left under the contract,” Veach added. “We left it to ‘He will come back’ and we’re so glad to get him back. In my case, there’s no deadline.”
Kansas City has played five games in five of its last six Super Bowls, with Kelce being limited to four catches for 39 yards as the Hawks deny the Chiefs’ unprecedented super this month Bowl “three games”.
“We do have a chance to talk,” added head coach Andy Reid. “[His future]is Travis.
“At this point, it’s ‘get out of town’. They played a lot of football here, so take a step back and we chat.”
Kelce has won over 1,000 receiving digits in seven consecutive seasons since 2016-22.
In the 2024 regular season, he had 97 receptions at 823 yards, his lowest yardage since 2014.
While speaking on his new height podcast Kelce talked about the “wearing and tear” his body suffered during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl and he wouldn’t rush to “any crazy decision.”
