This is who the White House says is the DOGE acting administrator
White House officials say Amy Gleason is Ministry of Government EfficiencyAfter the White House struggled to answer who was the top of the organization.
Gleason declined comments on her appointment as acting governor. Gleason’s LinkedIn lists her as Digital Services in the United States Senior consultant, she has a background in consulting and medical fields.
When CBS News announced Tuesday morning with Gleason that she said she was in Mexico, declining to comment further before she announced Doge’s acting executive.
CBS News learned Tuesday night that the promotion of Gleason to acting executive surprised USDS employees. CBS News told CBS News that the employees have learned about her new position “the past few hours” in the past few hours.

In a White House briefing Tuesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said she would not provide the agent administrator’s name from the podium, but would follow up.
“Presidential Mission Elon Musk oversees Doge’s efforts,” Levitt said. “There are some professional officials, there are political appointees who help run every day. There are also some who are all-round as each agency Political appointees, working with President Trump’s cabinet to find and identify wasteful fraud and abuse, they work hard every day.”
Leavitt confirmed earlier this week that Musk was Mr. Trump’s first cabinet meeting.
On weekends, federal workers Received an email Instructing them to list five things done the previous week, Musk said those who did not respond would lose their jobs. Multiple agencies tell workers to ignore the request instead of replying. It is not clear what will happen next.
