Chelsea 4-0 Southampton: Blues back in Premier League top four with win
Chelsea returned to the top four by winning three straight wins at Stamford Bridge’s bottom Premier League club Stamford Bridge.
Christopher Nkunku opened the score for Blues in the 24th minute, when he headed around the corner to Tosin Adarabioyo’s flick.
Twelve minutes later, Nkunku formed Pedro Neto, who defeated Saints’ Aaron Ramsdale at a low point when scoring.
Levi Colwill nodded the highest in Neto’s wide free kick before Chelsea added a third in half.
In the 78th minute substitute, Tyrique George formed Marc Cucurella, who besieged a beautiful counterattack with the effect of drilling.
Chelsea ranked fourth at the Premier League table, with Manchester City and Newcastle ranked second in Wednesday’s match.
Before the match, about 100 Chelsea fans protested against the club’s ownership and protested with banners and odes of “Todd Boehly Out”.
And more.
