Champions Trophy 2025 results: Australia-South Africa abandoned in Rawalpindi
Australia was given up against South Africa in the championship trophy, with no balls as it continued to rain in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
The referee came out and spoke to GroundStaff at around 11:45 GMT, and they called the game at 12:15.
Both sides won the opening match, so now scored 3 points in Group B, and the final victory will ensure eligibility for the semi-finals.
Abandonment means England knows they will reach the final four games against Afghanistan on Wednesday and Saturday’s victory against Afghanistan, but the defeat in any game will put Joss Butler’s side out.
