Wales 18-27 Ireland: Josh van der Flier hopes to ‘press on’ after clinching Triple Crown
Josh van der Flier said Ireland will seek to “tighten” against France after the Six Kingdoms Triple Crown beat Cardiff’s Welsh Triple Crown with a tough victory litigation”.
Ireland recovered from a 18-10 deficit after losing Garry Ringrose to a 20-minute red card, winning the game 28-17 and winning three in two straight wins Grand Slam.

“As we’ve always said, we’ll be in every game, but today is particularly special because of the prospect of the Triple Crown.”
“We’ve won a few wins lately, but even speaking to my grandpa, he said that when he was a kid, the Triple Crown was the only thing we could really play, and when we won it, it was special.
“We’re happy with that, but obviously, we’re going to look to face France next and go all out in that game to see how we develop.”
Although Ireland blew England in the second half and proved strong facts against Scotland, they have been pushed by rejuvenating Wales, who played their first match under interim owner Matt Sherratt.
“It depends on the lads working hard on each other, it’s a special game,” added the 2022 World Player of the Year.
“A young man (Cian Prendergast) had to drop out of school this morning because he was sick and it could be a mess, it was a physical game
“A lot of things happen, especially at home, are always tricky.
“There is a lot of pride to be part of the group, and the lads managed to dig deeper and win because it was different from the last two games, but it was important that we managed to turn it into a win.”
