Six Nations 2025: Ireland must be better – Simon Easterby
In the second match of this championship, Ireland fell behind in the half against Wales, then scored 17 unanswered points to ensure they have won 19 six-country wins in the last 21 matches .
Of course, the host advertised in his 15th straight defeat – Easterby was called a comment around Wales in “Unnecessary” – but the head coach believes his team needs improvements to France .
“Yes, we need to be better. We weren’t good enough in the case of (Saturday) and we gave Wales a chance to play, but they did well.
“They did what we expected and we certainly wouldn’t get into the game, underestimating what they could achieve through different mindsets, different coaching staff. They always bounce and we see that.”
Ireland won the past two meetings with France but lost three before that.
In recent seasons, it has been called the key fixture for the champion, and the winner will win the championship in the past three years.
“It’s exciting that we have two away games to get home and play in Aviva,” Easterby added.
“I think we’re really looking forward to this, and I’d say it’s going to be an annoying atmosphere. Of course, they’ll be challenging.
“We feel like we’ve had a few good wins lately, but we also know they have a big advantage and we need to be better.”
