Jenni Hermoso hopes to set an “important precedent after Luis Rubiales’ belief in kissing the Spanish striker without consent at the 2023 World Cup medal ceremony ”.
Thursday, Spanish High Court Convicted Ruby Hermoso, 34, who was unconsensually kissed Hermoso for sexual assault and fined €10,800 (£8,942).
Rubiales was also banned from communicating with Hermoso within a 200m radius and within one year.
He was allegedly acquitted for trying to put pressure on Tigres Striker publicly saying that kissing was a consent charge.
The 47-year-old resigned as president of the Spanish Football Federation, but kept the kiss consistently.
“After all, this will create an important precedent in a social environment where there is still a lot to be done,” Hermoso said on Instagram.
“My heart is filled with everyone who has been and will continue to move forward with me in this battle.
“Now, it’s over.”
