“There are a lot of people out there,” Sail said. “We really don’t know what’s going on.”

However, there were no paparazzi at her return home. Instead, she was banned for three months. Team manager Harry Batt was banned throughout his life.

Despite this, Sayell continued to be the founder of the Arsenal women’s team and continued to support women’s football.

“It’s great to see all the young girls with football kits now, because I’m the only little girl with football kits,” Sayell said.

Now, the soccer player’s portrait of former England goalkeeper David James is honored as part of the extraordinary portraits of the BBC series where the artist portrays people with powerful personal stories.

“It’s a surreal moment to be chosen as part of it, just like in Mexico,” Sayell said with a smile.

Although many are aware of James’ 572 Premier League appearance and playing for England, Liverpool and West Ham, he has also been painting for twenty years.

His previous works include portrayals of England’s World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore, who accepted the trophy from Queen Elizabeth II.

James called Sayell the “Trail Blazers” and the “pioneer” of women’s football.

He hopes people can see portraits and learn about Seer’s story, explaining that he respects “all the sacrifices she has to go through in an age where women’s football is not taken care of.”
