Anna Morris breaks own world record again at British Track Championships
Anna Morris broke his own world record for the third time in a week, winning the women’s 4km individual pursuit championship at the British Track and Field Championships in Manchester.
Ms. Wales broke her record twice in one day Win gold At last week’s European Circuit Bike Championship.
She won by shaving off for more than a second, claiming victory at the National Bike Center for 24.060 in four minutes.
“The motivation is really high, especially on the family track I was in front of the family crowd,” she said. “I felt a little bit after the Euro car, so I wasn’t sure how much I left, but the crowd would definitely be at the end. Take me in four circles.
“I just wanted to keep my head in the last kilometre and try to pedal as much as possible and they felt like they were giving up, but I could hear the crowd, so I was just trying to stick with it.
“I often feel like I live someone else’s life at times, which is very surreal. But I’m so grateful for all the opportunities I have.”
This is Morris’ second victory in the championship game after winning the women’s scratch game on Friday.
