Committee on Sport Reaffirms Commitment to Revitalising Boxing In South Africa
Joe McGluwa, chairman of the Portfolio Sports, Arts and Culture Committee, said boxing in South Africa will not die during his term as chairman of the committee.
He talked about the side bets of the National Boxing Convention currently underway in East London, adding that boxing needs to be the final champion of the conference. Mr McGroye said the committee was determined to resume the sport. “We will work with all the stakeholders of this major gathering, which will be an important platform to shape the future of boxing in South Africa.
