Israel accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement after forensic tests showed that the body returned from Gaza on Thursday was not Shiri Bibas’s body.

The IDF said that according to the intelligence and forensic investigation, the two children were “incarcerated in November 2023 and were brutally murdered by terrorists.” Hamas said the boy and their mother were killed in the Israeli bombing.

The hostages and missing families said, “This is shocked and destroyed by the news that their mother Shiri was not returned despite the agreement and our urgent hope”.

Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas were 32 years old, four and nine months old in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. .

On February 1, Hamas released the father of the 34-year-old, Yarden Bibas.
