Starting with Jeff Bezos, James Bond’s call for gigs has disappeared.

Founder of retail and technology giant Amazon.comAmzn) On Thursday, people were asked to come up with ideas on social platform X – “Who chose you as the next link?”, advice from actors to strange players such as non-actors and comedians.

The message plus the announcement that Amazon will have creative control over the legendary spy series (i.e., the movie distribution rights it already owns). (Financial terms are not disclosed.) The latest movie in the series is 2021’s Death, with Daniel Craig as a secret agent for the fifth time, who are known to be favourites of shaking martini.

In the announcement, the creative control may not be detailed in which form. “We are honored to continue this precious legacy and look forward to bringing a welcome to audiences around the world in the next phase of Legend 007,” an Amazon executive said in a company’s press release.
